Ford Explorer: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Removal and Installation - Interior Rear Door Handle
Removal
NOTE:
LH (left-hand) side shown, RH (right-hand) side similar.

Remove the rear trim panel.
Refer to: Rear Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Remove the interior rear door handle.

Disconnect the interior rear door handle electrical connector.

Remove the interior rear door handle screws.
-
Remove the interior rear door handle.

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Release the retaining tabs and remove the rear door tweeter speaker.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
The keyless entry keypad is serviced as an assembly with the front door upper moulding.
Remove the front door upper moulding...
Other information:
Note: Occasional brake noise is normal. If a metal-to-metal, continuous
grinding or continuous squeal sound is present, the brake linings may be worn-out
and an authorized dealer should check them. If the vehicle has continuous vibration
or shudder in the steering wheel while braking, an authorized dealer should check
your vehicle...
To check the engine oil level consistently and accurately, do the following:
Make sure the parking brake is on. Make sure the transmission is in park
(P) or neutral (N).
Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
Make sure that your vehicle is on level ground...
