Complete the adjustment before driving your Kia Picanto. Without touching the release lever, try to move the seat forwards and backwards to confirm that the lock is engaged. If the seat moves along its runners, it is not securely locked and must be checked again before you set off.

Seatback angle

To adjust the recline angle of the front seatback:

  1. Lean forwards slightly to take your weight off the backrest, then lift the seatback recline lever.

  2. Carefully lean back against the seatback and guide it to the desired angle, keeping its movement controlled.

  3. Release the lever and make sure the backrest is locked. The lever must return fully to its original position for the seatback locking mechanism to engage.
