Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist monitors areas beside and behind the Kia Picanto for approaching vehicles. If it detects a possible collision, it can alert the driver with a warning light and sound. When a collision risk is detected as the vehicle pulls out of a parallel parking space, the system may also assist with braking to help avoid an impact.

The rear corner radar sensors are mounted in the rear bumper, which is designed to meet Kia’s quality and performance requirements. Applying paint to the bumper or replacing it with an unsuitable part may affect system operation. For repair or replacement, use Kia Genuine Parts or parts of an equivalent standard with proven quality and performance.
Do not place a licence plate frame, bumper sticker, film, bumper guard or other object near the rear corner radar.
The system may not work correctly if the bumper has been replaced, or if the area around a rear corner radar sensor has been damaged or repainted.
A trailer, carrier or similar equipment may interfere with the rear corner radar and affect system performance. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist may not operate while such equipment is fitted.
