Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE:
The hood is removed in this procedure for clarity.

Remove the cowl panel grille.
Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

Remove the wiper linkage assembly retainers and the wiper linkage assembly.
Torque:
62 lb.in (7 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove windshield wiper pivot arm nut cover...
Other information:
Your vehicle is equipped with a SelectShift Automatic transmission, which gives
you the ability to change gears up or down (without a clutch) as desired.
In order to prevent the engine from running at too low an RPM, which may cause
it to stall, SelectShift still automatically makes some downshifts if it has determined
that you have not downshifted in time...
Removal
NOTE:
LH (left-hand) side shown, RH (right-hand) side similar.
Remove the front door latch.
Refer to: Front Door Latch (501-14 Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems, Removal and Installation).
NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component...

When these locks are set, you cannot open the rear doors from the inside.

A child safety lock is on the rear edge of each rear door. You must set the child
safety lock separately on each door.
