Removal

With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove the transmission park manual release cable bracket bolt.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Disconnect the transmission park manual release cable from the transmission lever and bracket assembly.

Remove the transmission park manual release cable grommet nuts.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)
-
Remove the transmission park manual release cable lever bolts.
Torque:
53 lb.in (6 Nm)
-
Remove the pushpin and position the carpet aside.
-
Disconnect the retainers and remove the transmission park manual release cable.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
