Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

All vehicles

1. 
   Remove the upper instrument trim panel.
   
   1. Remove the screws.
      Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
   2. Release the clips.
      

1. Release the upper gap hider from the IPC and position aside.
   Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. Release the clips and position the FCDIM and center instrument panel vents forward as an assembly.
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the FCDIM and center instrument panel vents as an assembly.
   

Vehicles equipped with police floor console

1. Remove the floor console.
   Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
   

All vehicles

1. NOTE: One screw on each side.

   Remove the screws.
   Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

1. Release the clips and position the center dash lower trim panel out.
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the center dash lower trim panel.
   

1. Release the clips and position the center instrument panel trim panel.
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the center instrument panel trim panel.
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connector, separate the cable guides and remove the LVDS cable.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
