Ford Explorer: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / Removal and Installation - Loadspace Trim Panel - Police

Special Tool(s) / General Equipment

Removal

NOTE: RH (right hand) shown, LH (left hand) similar.

1. Remove the D-pillar trim panel.
   Refer to: D-Pillar Trim Panel - Police (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Position the liftgate weatherstrip aside.
   

1. Remove the rear loadspace floor covering.
   

1. 
   Remove the front loadspace floor covering.
   
   1. Remove the front loadspace floor covering bolts.
      
   2. Lift upward and outward and remove the front loadspace floor covering.
      

1. Release the clips and remove the liftgate scuff plate trim panel.
   Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. Remove the bolts and loadspace floor side trim panel.
   

1. Remove the pin-type retainers and the lower loadspace trim panel.
   Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. Position the liftgate weatherstrip aside.
   

1. Remove the loadspace trim panel retainers.
   

1. 
   Remove the loadspace trim panel.
   
   1. Release the loadspace trim panel clips.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
   2. RH side only.
      Disconnect the luggage compartment interior lamp electrical connector.
      
   3. RH side only.
      Disconnect the luggage compartment power point electrical connector.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
