Removal

Vehicles with passive entry

Remove the front door window regulator and motor.
Refer to: Front Door Window Regulator and Motor (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, Removal and Installation).

NOTE:
The front door is shown transparent for clarity.
Disconnect the exterior front door handle electrical connector.
All vehicles
-
Remove the exterior front door handle access plug.
-
Remove the exterior front door handle.
-
Hold the exterior front door handle open and
turn the release screw enough to release the exterior front door handle.
Torque:
35 lb.in (4 Nm)
-
Remove the exterior front door handle.
-
Remove the exterior front door handle gaskets.
-
Remove the exterior front door handle gasket.
-
Remove the exterior front door handle gasket.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
-
Carry out the power door window initialization.
Refer to: Power Door Window Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
