Removal

All vehicles

Remove the upper instrument trim panel.
-
Remove the screws.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Release the clips.
-
Release the upper gap hider from the IPC and position aside.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Release the clips and position the FCDIM and center instrument panel vents forward as an assembly.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the FCDIM and center instrument panel vents as an assembly.
Vehicles equipped with police floor console
-
Remove the floor console.
Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
All vehicles
-
NOTE:
One screw on each side.
Remove the screws.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
-
Release the clips and position the center dash lower trim panel out.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the center dash lower trim panel.
-
Release the clips and position the center instrument panel trim panel.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the center instrument panel trim panel.
-
Remove the screws and the audio controls.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
