Low-aspect-ratio tyres have an aspect ratio below 50 and give the Kia Picanto a sportier appearance.
These tyres are designed to support handling and braking performance. Their shorter sidewalls can make the ride less comfortable and increase road noise compared with standard tyres.
Caution
A low-aspect-ratio tyre has a shorter sidewall than a standard tyre, so the tyre and wheel are more vulnerable to impact damage. Take the following precautions:
Use extra care on rough or unpaved roads, where the tyres and wheels can be damaged. After driving on these surfaces, inspect them for signs of damage.
Slow down when crossing potholes, speed bumps, manhole covers or kerbs to reduce the risk of damaging the tyres and wheels.
If a tyre suffers an impact, check its condition or have it inspected by a qualified workshop. Kia recommends contacting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.
To help detect damage and maintain the correct inflation pressure, inspect the tyres every 3,000 km (1,900 miles).
Caution
Tyre damage is not always visible. If you notice even a slight sign of damage, have the tyre inspected or replaced, even if you cannot see a clear defect. Hidden damage may allow air to escape.
Damage caused by driving on rough or unpaved roads, or by striking a pothole, manhole cover or kerb, is not covered by the warranty.
Tyre details and specifications are marked on the sidewall.
