Kia Picanto: Automatic climate control system: (if equipped) / Automatic heating and air conditioning

1. Press the AUTO button to activate automatic operation. The Kia Picanto climate control system then manages airflow mode, fan speed, air intake and air conditioning according to the selected temperature.

   

2. Turn the temperature control knob to select your preferred cabin temperature. The automatic system uses this setting to control heating and cooling.

   

NOTE

• To take manual control of an individual function during automatic operation, use any of the following buttons or controls:

  • Mode selection button.

  • Air conditioning button.

  • Front windscreen defroster button. Press this button again to deselect windscreen defrosting; the AUTO indication will illuminate on the information display once more.

  • Air intake control button.

  • Fan speed control knob.

  The function you select will respond to manual input, while the remaining functions continue to operate automatically.

• For convenient and effective climate control, press the AUTO button and set the temperature to 23°C (73°F). This is the recommended setting for using the automatic heating and cooling system.

NOTE

Keep the sensor on the instrument panel uncovered. Placing objects over it can interfere with the information the system uses to regulate heating and cooling, reducing the effectiveness of automatic climate control.
