Ford Explorer: Exterior Trim and Ornamentation / Removal and Installation - Roof Rail

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

1. Lower the headliner. Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the nuts.
   Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

1. Remove the roof moulding.
   

Installation

1. Tighten in sequence shown.
   Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

1. Install the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
