Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the EGR cooler.
    Refer to: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler (303-08A Engine Emission Control - 2.3L EcoBoost (201kW/273PS), Removal and Installation).

    NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring with clean engine coolant.

    Remove the coolant tube and disconnect the hoses. Discard the O-ring.
    1. Remove the bolt.
      Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
    1. Remove the coolant tube support bracket bolt.
      Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the ECT sensor.
    Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
