Overview

The rear climate control system is standard equipment on all engine packages. The rear climate control system operation is determined by the settings on the front HVAC control panel selection or from the RHVAC control panel selection.

The rear climate controls are located on the rear of the center console. It includes a fan speed control knob, temperature control knob, air distribution control buttons, and a rear climate control lock on which are only serviced as an assembly.

The rear system air can be cooled below interior air temperature only when A/C compressor operation has been requested by the settings of the climate control assembly of the base (front) system. The rear climate control system air can be heated at any time.

The FCDIM or Front HVAC control module can control the commands of the RHVAC control module. The command for warm or cold air to the RHVAC control module may make a difference in the rear air delivery vents. The commands that are directly inputted from the RHVAC control module to the rear air delivery and temperature system may work better than the commands that are directly inputted from the front HVAC system.
