Vehicle identification number (VIN)

The vehicle identification number, usually abbreviated to VIN, identifies your Kia Picanto for vehicle registration and legal matters relating to ownership. Use this number when the vehicle’s identity must be recorded or confirmed.

The VIN is stamped into the floor beneath the right-side seat. Remove the cover over the stamped area to expose the number and read it directly from the vehicle.

The VIN also appears on a plate attached to the top of the instrument panel. This plate can be read through the windscreen from outside the vehicle, providing another accessible location for checking the identification number.

Vehicle certification label

The vehicle certification label includes the vehicle identification number (VIN). It is attached to the centre pillar on the driver’s side or front passenger’s side, depending on the vehicle specification. Use the illustrated location to find the label on your vehicle.
