The ignition switch must be in the ON position for normal operation of the Kia Picanto power windows.
Each door has a switch for its own window. The driver also has a power window lock switch that can prevent rear passengers from operating their windows. Where equipped, the windows remain operable for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or the ignition is turned to ACC or LOCK. Opening either front door during this period cancels the remaining operating time, and the windows can no longer be operated under this retained-power function.
If an object prevents a window from closing, clear the obstruction before attempting to close it again. Make sure the window’s closing path is unobstructed.
NOTE
Driving with the rear windows lowered, or with the sunroof open or partly open where fitted, may produce wind buffeting or a pulsating noise inside your Kia Picanto. This is a normal airflow effect and can often be reduced or eliminated by adjusting the openings. If it occurs with one or both rear windows down, lower both front windows approximately one inch. If it occurs with the sunroof open, slightly reduce the sunroof opening.
WARNING
Do not install accessories in the window area. They may interfere with the window’s jam protection and affect its ability to respond correctly to an obstruction.
