Kia Picanto: Winter driving / Don't let ice and snow accumulate underneath. Carry emergency equipment

Kia Picanto 2024-2026 Owner's Manual / Driving your vehicle / Winter driving / Don't let ice and snow accumulate underneath. Carry emergency equipment

Don't let ice and snow accumulate underneath

Snow and ice can collect beneath the wheel arches and interfere with steering movement. When driving your Kia Picanto in severe winter conditions, periodically inspect these areas and the underside of the vehicle. Make sure accumulated snow or ice is not restricting the front wheels or obstructing any steering components.

Carry emergency equipment

Carry emergency equipment suited to the weather and the conditions along your route. Depending on the severity of winter conditions, useful items may include tyre chains, tow straps or towing chains, a torch, emergency flares, sand, a shovel, jump leads, a window scraper, gloves, a groundsheet, coveralls and a blanket. Choose the equipment before setting out so that it is available if the vehicle becomes stranded or assistance is needed.
