Kia Picanto: Winter driving / Check spark plugs and ignition system. To keep locks from freezing

Kia Picanto 2024-2026 Owner's Manual / Driving your vehicle / Winter driving / Check spark plugs and ignition system. To keep locks from freezing

Check spark plugs and ignition system

Inspect the spark plugs following the instructions in section 8 and replace them when necessary. Check the ignition wiring and related components at the same time, looking for cracks, wear or other damage. This inspection should cover the condition of the complete ignition system rather than the spark plugs alone.

To keep locks from freezing

Apply an approved lock de-icer or glycerine through the key opening to help prevent the locks from freezing. If ice has formed over a lock, use an approved de-icing fluid to clear it before inserting the key. A lock that has frozen internally may be thawed with a carefully warmed key. Handle the warmed key cautiously to avoid burns or other injury.
