Ford Explorer: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms / Removal and Installation - Front Door Glass Top Run

Removal

NOTE: LH (left-hand) side shown, RH (right-hand) side similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the front door window glass.
   Refer to: Front Door Window Glass (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, Removal and Installation).
   

1. 
   Remove the front door outer belt moulding.
   
   1. Remove the front door outer belt moulding screw.
      Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)
   2. Remove the front door outer belt moulding.
      

1. 
   Remove the front door glass top run.
   
   1. Remove the front door glass top run screw.
      Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)
   2. Remove the front door glass top run screw.
      Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)
   3. Release the front door glass top run from the door run channel.
      
   4. Release the front door glass top run from the door run channel.
      
   5. Remove the front door glass top run.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. Carry out the power door window initialization.
