This schedule applies to Kia Picanto vehicles driven under one or more of the severe conditions listed below. Inspect or replace each item at the interval shown, using the applicable driving-condition codes to identify when more frequent service is required.

Severe driving conditions

A: Repeated trips of less than 8 km (5 miles) in normal temperatures, or less than 16 km (10 miles) in freezing temperatures.

B: Extended engine idling or prolonged driving at low speeds.

C: Driving on rough, dusty, muddy, unpaved, gravel or salt-spread roads.

D: Driving in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are used, or in very cold weather.

E: Driving in heavily dusty conditions.

F: Driving in areas with heavy traffic.

G: Repeated driving on uphill, downhill or mountain roads.

H: Towing, camping, or driving with a load on the roof.

I: Using the vehicle as a patrol car, taxi or for other commercial purposes, including towing.

J: Frequently driving at high speeds or accelerating and decelerating rapidly.

K: Frequently driving in stop-and-go conditions.

L: Using engine oil that is not recommended, such as mineral oil, semi-synthetic oil or oil with a lower-grade specification.
