WARNING

Hot liquids

  • Do not place uncovered cups containing hot liquids in the cup holders while the vehicle is moving. Spilled liquid can cause burns, and a burn to the driver could lead to a loss of vehicle control.

  • To reduce the risk of injury during a sudden stop or collision, do not carry uncovered or unsecured bottles, glasses, cans or similar containers in the cup holders while driving.

WARNING

Keep cans and bottles away from direct sunlight, and do not leave them inside a vehicle that has become hot. Exposure to excessive heat may cause the containers to explode.

Kia Picanto cup holder release button and movable holder section

The Kia Picanto cup holders accommodate cups and small beverage cans. Place containers securely within the holders before driving.

To use the cup holder, press the release button (1).

The movable half of the cup holder (2) will extend into position to support the container.

To use the cup holder area as a storage compartment, rotate the movable half of the holder (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

NOTE

  • Keep drink containers sealed while driving to help prevent spills. Spilled liquid may enter the vehicle’s electrical or electronic systems and damage their components.
