Kia Picanto: Tyres and Wheels / Wheel Replacement. Tyre Traction
Wheel Replacement
If you replace a metal wheel, choose one equivalent to the original factory wheel in diameter, rim width and offset.
Warning
A wheel of the wrong size can affect wheel and bearing life, braking and stopping performance, handling, ground
clearance, clearance between the body and tyre, snow-chain clearance, speedometer and odometer calibration,
headlight aim and bumper height.
Tyre Traction
Tyres may lose traction when they are worn, incorrectly inflated or driven on slippery surfaces. Replace them when
the tread-wear indicators appear. Reduce speed in rain, snow or icy conditions to lower the risk of losing control
of the Kia Picanto.
Wheel Alignment and Tyre Balance
The Kia Picanto’s wheels are carefully aligned and balanced at the factory to support long tyre life and good overall
performance...
Tyre Maintenance
Correct wheel alignment, along with proper inflation, helps limit tyre wear. If you notice uneven wear, have the
wheel alignment checked by a qualified workshop...
