NOTE:

Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03D Engine Cooling - 3.3L Duratec-V6 – Hybrid (BP), General Procedures).

Release clamps and position aside coolant lines.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Remove the retainer and the cabin heater coolant diverter valve.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill and bleed the cooling system.
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03D Engine Cooling - 3.3L Duratec-V6 – Hybrid (BP), General Procedures).

Loosen the bolt 6 turns.
